(i) TENIZ, a game inspired by WORDLE, tests your knowledge on Tennis Grand Slam Champions of the Open
Era. The objective is to identify the Champion Tennis Player every day, using the Clues.
(ii) The mystery player needs to be identified based on attributes (shown at the top of the page) based on their GRAND SLAM CAREER STATS. These attributes include Year of first win, Slams Won, Country (could be multiple countries), Gender, Total GS Singles Titles and Style of Play (RH vs
LH).
(iii) Use the search area to key in your answer and hit SUBMIT. After each guess, details of the player you entererd are listed. You also get INDICATORS to show how the attributes of the player you entered, match against that of the player in question.
(iv) π’ Indicates a match, π΄ indicates a no-match and π‘ indicates that what you guessed is within a range of +/- 3 (for year and titles only). Year and Titles also show πΊ and π» for incorrect guesses. πΊ means you need to try with a higher number and π» means you need to try with a lower number.
π‘ for Country, indicates a match in the Continent. Remember, a person could be a citizen of multiple countries and some contries are part of multiple continents.
(v) For eg: a π’ in the first position (Year), indicates that the player you entered won their first title in the same year as the player in question. A π΄ in the first position (Year), indicates that the player you entered did not win their first title within 3 years of the player in question (would have been indicated by π‘, if that were the case).
(vi) The indicators for the Grand Slams work differently and are as follows:
π’ - Indicates that the player you entered has won EXACTLY THE SAME Grand Slams as the person in question (not the number of titles; just indicates the Grand Slams).
π΅ - Indicates that the person in question has won ALL the Grand Slam titles won by the player you entered. But, they have won something more.
π‘ - Indicates that there are SOME COMMON Grand Slam titles between the player your entered and the person in question. But, it is not an exact match.
π΄ - Indicates that there are NO COMMON Grand Slam titles between the player your entered and the person in question. Useful in the process of elimination.
(vii) Switch to the EASY Mode any time during the game, where the attributes are revealed, as shown below, after each INCORRECT guess. The clues are more direct in this Mode.
